"when you wish upon a star"

Tonight I went to Disney on ice with my best friend, her daughter, and her nephew. Talk about bringing me back to my childhood days, I was LOVING it I think more than the kids. My dad used to take me and my sister every time Disney on ice would come to town. He finally stopped after we both got a little to old where it wasn't "cool" to go anymore. Tonight it was like I was 10 years old again sitting there in amazement and having so much fun! This one was called Celebration on Ice. They had almost every disney character there which was different than the ones I used to go too. I always went to the ones that was about a certain movie like Lion King or Beauty and the Beast. This was even better tho! All my favorite Disney movies rolled into one show! It couldn't have been any better.

Well I lie. It could have been better. Disney is known for the *perfect* prince charming, well I was highly disappointed in the choice of prince's in the show. I would have to say Aladdin was the hottest and that wasn't saying too much. I mean come on these guys are supposed to be prince charming couldn't they at least be hot? They had one scene where it was a Walt Disney scene with the theme song it's a small world after all and they had people dressed up from different cultures. Well some of the boys during this scene were shirtless and had Hawaiian skirt type things on. My best friend turns to me and goes, "Man some of these guys really should not be shirtless." Yes its true some of them had way too much flab in the stomach and it was not attractive at all. I would have definitely asked if I could have had a part where I wore a shirt. So come on people who are in charge of casting these people lets work on getting hotter prince charmings and guys with better bodies if there going to be shirtless. Thank You. Hands down one of the more fun things I have been to in awhile. I have to say Disney really brings out the kid in you!!

Here are a few snapshots from the show!

  1. Haha, I love the Disney (maybe even have gone to EuroDisney this July... ahem.) but would never go as far as to go to the On Ice!

Know what you mean about the characters though: at the parades (has to be done) the Disney damsels were depressingly mediocre also. Out of Ariel, Jasmine, Belle etc. inevitably only one was stunningly beautiful and the rest blatantly bewigged and distinctly bored. So. It goes both ways :P
