Well for about two weeks now I have been dieting and exercising. It has been pure hell.. Seriously! I am trying to do it the old fashioned without "cheating"!! Okay so I know that using diet pills and all that really isn't cheating because it helps you lose the weight that you need to lose, but the way i feel about using that form of dieting is that you can't stay on those things for the rest of your life. Once you lose the weight you need to lose and you go off of whatever your using to help you lose weight there is a very big chance you have of gaining it all back because your no longer 'dieting'. That is just the way I see it at least, and I am by no means an expert. It is SO hard to do it this way though. Counting calories and finding the right exercises that work for you. After two weeks I'm still not even sure If I am doing what is right for me.
So of course I turned to my best friend aka my iPhone and downloaded an app called LoseIt! I put in how much weight I wanted to lose and my current weight and it told me how many calories I can intake for the day. Then I just punch in what I eat for breakfast lunch and dinner and it tells me how many calories it is and how many I have left for the day. I can even put in how much exercise I have done for the day and how many calories I burned. Its become my favorite App of course.
Still yet I have been doing this for about 2 weeks now and I have only lost 3 pounds give or take. Its so frustrating to jump on a scale first thing in the morning and see that I have lost a pound that morning then the next morning wake up after doing everything that I was supposed to do the day before and somehow gained 1.5 pounds. What is up with that? How can I diet and exercise eat under the amount of calories that I was supposed to eat that day, exercise my arse off and yet still somehow GAINED weight and not lost it. I don't trust that scale at all because I have already lost a pant size. Although there are not any physical changes yet I am still happy to know that after 2 weeks I have already lost a pant size. Too bad I still have quite a few left to go. Oh joy....
I did the same things you did! I had the app, counted the calories, and was ocd with the scale. Glad I'm not the only "crazy" one out there.
ReplyDeletei drive myself crazy checking that dern scale.. i think your supposed to check it once a week but i just cant stay away from it no matter how disappointing it may be
